Leverage AI to drive business innovation and create cutting-edge AI-driven products and services that meet evolving market demands. Harness the power of strategic robotics applications to establish and sustain a competitive edge, positioning your organisation at the forefront of technological advancement.
MODULE 3:
Case Study: AI in Robotics and Applications
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the motivations and principles behind creating autonomous robotic systems by leveraging sensory perception, control principles, and advanced AI algorithms. Explore the connections between robotics and the broader field of artificial intelligence, uncovering how these disciplines complement and enhance one another. Formulate and address challenges related to domain-specific data, such as obstacle avoidance and robotic arm manipulation, by applying abstract models and AI algorithms in robotics. Focus on developing and implementing practical solutions to key robotics challenges while delving into the advancements in AI-driven intelligent robotics technology. MODULE 4:
Company Visit: Tencent and UBTech Office* with Industry experts sharing (HKPC)
Visit leading companies in the Greater Bay Area to observe AI and robotics applications in action, gaining practical insights into their capabilities. These visits will offer participants the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions with industry experts, exploring the challenges and successes of implementing these technologies. Additionally, uncover emerging trends and innovations that are shaping the future of AI and robotics.

Participants are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% in order to be considered for the completion of the programme (all four modules).
Upon successful completion of all four modules, participants will be awarded a certificate.
All programmes are non-credit bearing.

MAIB Programme Director
Professor Michael Chau is a Professor in Innovation and Information Management in the HKU Business School at the University of Hong Kong. . He received a Ph.D. degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science (Information Systems) from the University of Hong Kong. His research interests include business analytics, artificial intelligence, web mining and social media, electronic commerce, fintech, smart health, security informatics, human-computer interaction, and IT in education. He has published more than 150 articles in premier journals and conferences in information systems, computer science, and information science. He has received multiple international research awards and has been highly ranked in several research productivity studies.
